Title: Manual QA Engineer (Test Management Specialist)

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer to join our quality assurance this role you will be responsible for the full testing lifecycle from analyzing requirements to executing complex test scenarios. You will leverage TestRail and QMetry to document test cases track execution progress and ensure our software meets the highest standards of quality before release.

Key Responsibilities

Test Design: Create maintain and update comprehensive Test Cases and test suites based on functional requirements and technical specifications.
Execution: Perform functional regression smoke and exploratory testing across web and mobile platforms.
Test Management: Utilize TestRail for test planning and tracking and QMetry for managing requirements-to-test traceability.
Defect Management: Identify document and track software defects through to resolution using JIRA or similar bug-tracking tools.
Collaboration: Work closely with Developers and Product Managers to understand feature goals and provide timely feedback on UI/UX and functionality.
Reporting: Generate detailed test execution reports and quality metrics to provide stakeholders with clear visibility into release readiness.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven Experience: 2 4 years of experience in manual software testing.
Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience with TestRail (for test run management) and QMetry (for test management and JIRA integration).
Test Case Mastery: Demonstrated ability to write clear concise and highly effective test cases that cover both positive and negative scenarios.
SDLC/STLC Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with a break it mentality to uncover hidden bugs.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with API testing tools like Postman.
Familiarity with database testing and basic SQL queries.
ISTQB Foundation Level certification.
