The Facilitator/Porter role provides critical day-to-day operational support to the engineering test team ensuring durability vehicles and test programs remain on schedule. This role serves as a key liaison between engineers suppliers and internal teams handling both on-site and off-site support activities to maximize vehicle uptime and test completion rates.
What you get to do
Deliver time-critical parts and materials to on-site and off-site test locations in a timely and organized manner.
Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure parts availability aligns with test schedules.
Track and manage parts inventory to minimize delays to test operations.
Perform basic mechanical tasks such as replacing components and parts on test vehicles where highly specialized skills are not required.
Conduct basic electrical/electronic (EE) fault checks and part replacements under the guidance of qualified technicians or engineers.
Support vehicle preparation activities to reduce time-to-start-of-test and improve overall uptime.
Interact professionally with engineers suppliers and cross-functional teams to relay information and resolve day-to-day issues.
Assist the engineering team with a variety of operational support tasks as needed adapting to shifting priorities in a fast-paced test environment.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with company safety policies.
What you bring to the Team:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in email and basic computer applications.
Experience in an automotive engineering or manufacturing environment preferred.
Basic mechanical or electrical knowledge preferred.
Familiarity with issue tracking or project management tools preferred.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; comfortable working in both indoor lab and outdoor/off-site test environments.
