Position Title: NON-INSTRUCTIONAL PARAPROFESSIONAL/DUTY AIDE
Supervisory duties for recess lunchroom and other areas
Qualifications: High school diploma required
Reports To: Building Principal or Designee
The primary purpose of non-instructional paraprofessionals/duty aides is to support students during activities that are not directly related to academic instruction. Essential functions of non-instructional paraprofessionals/duty aides include:
- Ability to monitor large groups of students in various settings (i.e. lunch recess etc.)
- Ability to communicate any problems during these activities to appropriate building staff
- Maintain confidentiality of student information
- Demonstrates personal career development through in-service/other training opportunities as
provided by WHRSD
Other Potential Duties Depending on Assignment
- Be capable of physically assisting students with special needs as required (positioning lifting transferring crisis prevention etc.)
- Assisting students with transition to/from transportation
- All other duties as assigned
