Our client is seeking an SAP S/4HANA Functional Consultant to lead the integration of nuanced systems and complex financial processes within the Cash Management and Payments domain.

This role is a cornerstone of the global financial infrastructure requiring a consultant who can negotiate high-level operational and tactical outcomes while ensuring technical deliverables meet world-class standards.

You will act as a primary authority for global template rollouts steering the product through Fit-to-Template workshops and market go-lives.

This position requires a rare blend of deep S/4HANA functional expertise and the ability to drive strategic solution documentation across diverse stakeholders.

The Mission: You will be responsible for delivering complex financial outcomes by integrating several interconnected systems.

From conducting global Fit-to-Template workshops to leading critical testing phases and go-live support you will ensure that the global Cash Management template is implemented with precision compliance and architectural integrity.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Degree in IT Computer Science Finance Accounting or a related discipline.
• Certification: Formal SAP functional training or certification is highly desirable.
• Experience: Extensive hands-on experience as an SAP S/4HANA functional consultant on global template rollouts.

Essential Skills (Verified):

• Engagement/Requirement to upskill in the following product core technologies:
• Prior experience with GFBB (Global Finance / Responsibility Management) or equivalent global responsibility management templates
• Experience with SAP Workflow
• Working knowledge of SAP MM SD modules and how they interact with responsibility/accountability processes
• Basic familiarity with SAP ABAP interfaces or experience working closely with development teams for enhancements and interfaces
• Experience with iDocs XML message formats and non-SAP integration patterns
• Experience in global SAP template rollouts across multiple countries/markets
• Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies and working in cross-functional feature teams
• German language skills (advantageous for coordination with German-speaking stakeholders)
• Experience with database concepts (SQL Postgres) and performance considerations in S/4 landscapes
• Flexibility to support activities across different time zones and occasional extended hours around key milestones
• Previous involvement in financial feasibility analysis and optimization related to responsibility/accountability models

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead configuration of the Responsibility Management Module in SAP S/4HANA in line with the established global template
• Drive and facilitate Fit-to-Template workshops with market stakeholders to validate template fit and identify gaps
• Conduct gap analysis propose pragmatic workarounds or enhancements and document GAPs with recommended solutions
• Produce and maintain clear functional design configuration guides and cutover/runbooks for markets
• Define and scope end-user authorization roles and work with security teams to implement role-based access controls
• Coordinate and execute unit tests integration tests system integration security tests and support test automation efforts
• Work closely with integration and development teams to implement interfaces (iDocs/XML) and resolve integration issues
• Support market readiness: prepare go-live plans execute cutover activities and provide hypercare/stabilization support post go-live
• Provide knowledge transfer and training to market super-users and key users and create training materials where required
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve the template and processes to better support business needs
• Liaise with global feature teams and local market teams to ensure consistent implementation and adherence to template standards
• Communicate status risks and mitigation plans to project leadership and stakeholders; ensure quality of design and deliverables
