As an assistant customs specialist you and your colleagues are responsible for correctly processing and handling all customs formalities for our international other words the world is literally and figuratively at your feet. And the best part is: Youre on it.

How you do this Working with a team of 15 colleagues you solve various day-to-day issues and get the chance to grow your knowledge and experience. At DSV you learn everything on the job so step by step you will be ready to progress into a full customs specialist role. You achieve this by:

preparing processing and submitting all types of customs declarations in accordance with laws and regulations;
ensuring compliance with permit requirements;
collecting and verifying all necessary (and additional) customs-technical or fiscally relevant information (certificates permits documentation related to the type of goods type of clearance and relevant country);
identifying irregularities or errors and reporting them to your manager;
following established work instructions and procedures.

You bring

mbo level of thinking and working skills preferably a basic customs declarant diploma or the motivation to obtain one;
strong analytical skills able to work accurately with great attention to detail;
a positive energetic attitude and eagerness to learn;
good command of Dutch (B1) and English both written and spoken.
