Azure Cloud Engineer with Networking

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer with strong networking expertise to support and manage enterprise cloud infrastructure for our client. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Azure cloud operations infrastructure management and DevOps practices ensuring high availability security and performance of cloud environments.

This role requires strong troubleshooting capabilities automation mindset and the ability to work closely with application teams DevOps teams and security teams to maintain and optimize cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and support Azure cloud infrastructure and services in a production environment.
• Deploy configure and maintain Azure compute resources including App Services AKS Azure Functions and Virtual Machines.
• Design and manage Azure networking components such as VNets NSGs Private Endpoints Azure Front Door and Web Application Firewall (WAF).
• Monitor cloud environments using Azure Monitor Log Analytics and Application Insights.
• Write and optimize KQL queries for troubleshooting monitoring and reporting.
• Implement and maintain cloud security best practices including RBAC PIM Azure Key Vault and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
• Work with Azure DevOps tools including Pipelines Repos and artifact feeds to support CI/CD processes.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure networking and application performance issues in Azure environments.
• Collaborate with development DevOps and security teams to ensure reliable and secure cloud deployments.
• Document architecture operational procedures and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 12 years of experience in cloud infrastructure Azure operations or DevOps engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Experience with Azure Compute services:
  • App Service
  • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • Azure Functions
  • Virtual Machines
• Strong expertise in Azure Networking:
  • Virtual Networks (VNets)
  • Network Security Groups (NSGs)
  • Private Endpoints
  • Azure Front Door
  • Web Application Firewall (WAF)
• Experience with Monitoring & Observability tools:
  • Azure Monitor
  • Log Analytics
  • Application Insights
  • KQL Query Language
• Experience with Azure Security services:
  • Microsoft Defender for Cloud
  • Azure Key Vault
  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
• Experience with Azure DevOps:
  • Pipelines
  • Repos
  • Artifact feeds
• Strong troubleshooting scripting and automation skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305).
• Experience working in enterprise or large-scale cloud environments.
