Location: This is an on-site position based in Albion MI. You will work closely with our engineering manufacturing and leadership teams in a hands-on environment where your work directly supports real-world products and projects.

Note: Candidates must be a Licensed Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering and should have 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience ideally within solar manufacturing industrial automation or product development environments.

Job Description

• Design and review electrical systems schematics drawings and layouts.
• Provide stamped electrical engineering drawings where required.
• Ensure projects and products comply with NEC UL local AHJ and applicable electrical code requirements.
• Support product development initiatives especially related to solar systems mounting system integration and balance-of-system components.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve electrical processes automation efficiency and production support.
• Interface with customers contractors inspectors and internal stakeholders as needed.
• Develop internal electrical engineering standards documentation and best practices.
• Support troubleshooting root cause analysis and corrective action for field or production issues.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering operations manufacturing and leadership to solve technical challenges.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of NEC electrical codes and compliance requirements.
• Experience designing and reviewing electrical systems schematics and layouts.
• Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD SolidWorks Electrical or similar platforms.
• Solar inverter balance-of-system manufacturing industrial or product development experience preferred.
• Experience with UL certifications product listing automation controls PLCs or sensors is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced cross-functional environment.
