About the Role
Success Matcher Recruitment is proud to partner with our client a pioneering startup in the direct
current (DC) power distribution space to find a visionary AI Native Electrical Engineer.
Our client is building the future of energy infrastructure for data centers. We are looking for a
hands-on full-stack hardware expert to take early-stage prototypes and evolve them into
deployable alpha hardware systems for first-design partners. This is a high-impact role where you
will turn complex concepts into real working products.
What You Will Be Doing:
Prototype to Product: Own the transition from rough lab-scale systems to structured
testable and customer-ready alpha hardware.
High-Voltage Design: Develop and design 800V-class high-voltage DC power systems
focusing on power conversion switching and distribution using modern semiconductors
(SiC/GaN).
Simulation & Validation: Model and evaluate electrical thermal and system-level
behaviors using tools like SPICE or PLECS to iterate rapidly.
Lab Leadership: Lead hands-on bring-up debugging and characterization. You will solve
real-world issues across switching timing sensing and protection.
AI-Integrated Workflow: Leverage modern AI-native tools (agents LLMs and simulation
augmentation) to accelerate design and testing cycles.
End-to-End Execution: Coordinate with external partners for PCB fabrication and
component sourcing while ensuring the final system is cohesive and presentable.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: 4 years of professional experience in designing prototyping and testing
power electronics systems.
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Power Electronics Circuit Design Gate Drivers
and High-Voltage DC systems.
Tooling: Proficiency with SPICE PLECS and modern semiconductor materials like Silicon
Carbide (SiC) and Gallium Nitride (GaN).
Mindset: A builder mentality with a strong bias toward action and first-principles
thinking. You should be comfortable in a fast-paced high-intensity environment (60
hours/week).
