At GameChanger we help the youth sports community Live the Game Like Never Before.

We are a remote-first dynamic technology company based in New York City solving meaningful challenges across youth sports and this summer were bringing together a highly intentional cohort of interns to help build whats next.
About the Internship Program:
Our Summer 2026 Internship Program is a 10-week fully onsite experience in NYC (June 1August 7 2026). This is not a shadowing program. As a GameChanger intern youll:
Work on real high-impact projects
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Be paired with a dedicated mentor
Build and ship meaningful work
Present your results during our Final Demo Day
Weve intentionally designed a smaller cohort (12 interns) to provide strong mentorship meaningful ownership and real exposure to how we build and ship at scale.
The Position:
As a Android Software Engineer Intern on the Stats & Insights team youll help build and improve the Android experiences that power how athletes families and coaches understand performance on GameChanger. Youll work on meaningful product features that surface stats insights and visualizations to millions of users. This is a hands-on engineering role where youll collaborate closely with Android engineers product managers designers and data partners to ship production-quality code. You will report directly to one of the teams experienced Android Engineers.
What Youll Work On:
Youll take ownership of clearly scoped high-impact work. Depending on your team this may include:
Taking end-to-end ownership of designing building testing and shipping Android features that improve how users view and interact with stats and performance insights.
Building reusable UI components and architecture improvements to enhance performance scalability and maintainability of the Stats & Insights surfaces.
Integrating APIs and data models to ensure accurate performant and reliable presentation of game and season statistics.
Using analytics and experimentation results to iterate on features and improve engagement clarity and usability.
Youll collaborate closely with teammates and stakeholders receive consistent feedback and contribute work that drives measurable impact.
What Were Looking For:
Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related technical field
Experience building and shipping a technical project (coursework internship research hackathon or personal project)
Experience developing Android applications using Kotlin (preferred) and/or Java
Ability to independently scope and execute defined work with guidance
Nice to Have
Understanding of Android fundamentals (activities/fragments networking state management multi-module architecture)
Experience with modern Android architecture and tooling (Jetpack Compose MVVM Kotlin Coroutines StateFlow/SharedFlow)
Familiarity with reactive programming patterns (RxJava or Kotlin Flow)
Exposure to data-driven product development (analytics experimentation or metrics-driven iteration)
