As a Security Officer - Front Desk Coverage in Overland Park KS you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a leading tech media and telecom location you will welcome employees and visitors manage access control check credentials issue badges and monitor security-related systems and activity. You will be a visible customer-focused presence document incidents and communicate clearly with site teams. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees visitors and contractors at a front desk in a technology workplace by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Manage access control by greeting and screening visitors verifying identification issuing temporary badges and directing guests to the appropriate destination in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor and/or operate security-related systems such as alarms CCTV and access control platforms reporting irregular activity and documenting actions taken.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner communicating with site contacts and emergency services as needed.
• Complete required reports and logs including visitor entries incident documentation and shift activity summaries and escalate concerns through the established chain of command.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
