STUDENT ASSISTANT FOR A PROJECT ON ENVIRONMENTAL CRIME

Contract size: 02 fte (8 hours per week)
Full-time gross monthly salary: 3.084 - 3.141 -
Contract duration: 12 months
Intended start date: 1st of June
Under the Starter Grant program of the Dutch government Dr. Thomas Joyce has been awarded funding to conduct a project on environmental crime in Europe. The project will focus on personal small-scale environmental crimes (such as littering) and the impact the totality of these crimes has on our world. Taking a broader approach than previous research on environmental crime these small-scale crimes also include offences that create an unpleasant emotional environment (such as street harassment) as such crimes can also seriously impact the way people interact with and react to their environment. Dr. Joyce is looking for a capable and enthusiastic student to assist him in his research; students with an interest in the protection of the environment and the prevention of harassment are welcome to apply.

The work primarily involves supporting Departmental staff in the research they conduct.
