Job Summary
The Director leads statewide collaboration efforts that support Head Start programs and advance early childhood outcomes across Arkansas. Responsibilities include facilitating partnerships between Head Start programs and state agencies that provide services related to early childhood education health family engagement and workforce development. The Director works with local Head Start grantees community partners and state agencies to strengthen coordination of services and reduce duplication of efforts across early childhood Director promotes alignment between Head Start and other early childhood systems including state prekindergarten programs child care health services and family support initiatives. The position provides technical assistance and information to stakeholders regarding Head Start collaboration priorities and supports initiatives that improve program quality and access for children and Director supports communication and coordination among federal state and local partners involved in early childhood programs. This includes representing the Head Start collaboration function in statewide planning efforts advisory groups and cross-agency initiatives that address early childhood education and family Director collects and analyzes information related to collaboration activities and program outcomes in order to inform policy development and improve service coordination. The position also prepares reports develops strategic initiatives and supports statewide efforts that strengthen the early childhood system.
