Are you the one were looking for

We are seeking a dynamic highly motivated Early Childhood Outreach Worker who demonstrates our values of compassion accountability responsiveness and empowerment; to our clients families and each other.

The Summer Early Childhood Outreach Worker will be responsible for working with the EarlyON Child and Family Centres Supervisor to support and facilitate the involvement of families in EarlyON Child and Family Centres.


Temporary30-40 hours per week From June 22 2026 August 14 2026.
The rate of pay is $17.60



Key Responsibilities:

  1. Liaise with staff in the Newcomer Services program
  2. Support and facilitate the children and families participation/attendance in the Early Years services available in the Hamilton-Centre riding
  3. Bring child appropriate materials and activities to current locations where multiple newly arrived families reside and facilitate children and family services at these locations
  4. Provide community outreach interacting with parents and children in community settings to encourage their participation in Wesleys EarlyON Child and Family Centres
  5. Build positive relationships with children parents and service providers
  6. Welcome support and interact with all clients including those from culturally diverse backgrounds newcomers to Canada LGBTQ2S young parents etc.



What you will bring:

  1. Completion of Secondary School Diploma
  2. Applicant must be between 18 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment.
  3. Postsecondary studies or previous experience in Early Childhood Education Child and Youth Worker Recreation Leadership Social Service Worker Social Work or a Social Service field.
  4. Experience and sensitivity working with all families including those culturally diverse LGBTQ2S young parents etc.
  5. Must be willing to work flexible hours.
  6. First aid/CPR training.
