Job Goal:
The Career & Technical Education Director provides visionary leadership to develop implement and evaluate high-quality CTE programs that prepare students for college careers and lifelong learning. This role ensures alignment with industry standards state and federal requirements and district goals while fostering partnerships with businesses postsecondary institutions and community organizations. The Director oversees curriculum development program compliance and resource allocation to support innovativeequitable and workforce-driven learning opportunities for all students.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Masters degree and Administrative Coursework in the Education-related field
- Demonstrated classroom teaching ability: minimum three years of teaching experience preferred
- Knowledge of standards and research-based instruction
- Successful administrative experience
Core Job Functions:
Program Development & Oversight
- Design implement and evaluate CTE programs aligned with industry standards state and federal requirements and district goals.
- Ensure curriculum relevance to workforce needs and emerging technologies.
Compliance & Accountability
- Maintain adherence to all state federal and district regulations governing CTE programs.
- Prepare andsubmitrequired reports documentation and audits.
Partnerships & Community Engagement
- Establish and sustain partnerships with local businesses industry leaders and postsecondary institutions.
- Promote work-based learning opportunities internships and apprenticeships for students.
Budget & Resource Management
- Develop and manage budgets for CTE programs ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Oversee procurement of equipment and instructional materials to support program goals.
Staffing & Professional Development
- Recruit hire andretainqualified CTE instructors and support staff.
- Provide ongoing professional development to ensure instructional excellence and compliance with certification requirements.
Student Success & Outcomes
- Monitor student achievement credential attainment and career readiness indicators.
- Implement strategies to improve enrollment completion rates and postsecondary transitions.
