Job Summary

Fallbrook Union Elementary School District is a K-8 district.

The Special EducationTransportation Assistantwill:

  • Provide needed transportation assistance to special education students
  • Assure that all studentsare safely seated according to regulation and/or instructions as determined by the assigned bus driver and in compliance with the students IEP.
  • Monitor and record student behavior as required in the students IEP or Behavior Plan to promote an orderly atmosphere in the vehicle during transport.
  • To do related workas required.

DETAILS FOR THIS POSITION:

  • WORK SITE: Transportation
  • WORK SCHEDULE: up to 3.92hours/day 5 days/weeksplit shift (hours TBD based on student needs)
  • BENEFITS:No benefits as this is a limited term assignment
  • REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING:Equivalent to the completionof the twelfth grade; and either an Associates Degree of Arts (AA) or have completed 48 college/university semester units or pass the FUESD proficiency test for this classification; one (1) year of paid or volunteer experience workingwith children with special needs; orany combination of training and experience thatmay likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities.
  • REQUIRED LICENSE/CERTIFICATE:Current First Aid and CPR certificate
  • REQUIRED ATTACHMENTS (PDF):
    Certificate Copy - First Aid/CPR
    Letter of Recommendation - 1 (within the last year and preferably from the most recent employer)

    NCLB Compliance - Proof of degree/transcripts (if applicable)
