The Engineerwill support the direct execution and delivery of all technical aspects of Mayo Clinic Platforms technology roadmapwithin Mayo Senior Platform Engineer will also serve as a technical liaison with other functions within the enterprise.
The position willbe responsible forthe following essential functions:
- Appliesthe principles of well-architected frameworks to the designand deployment of key foundational functions withinMayoClinic Platform.
- Design develop andmaintainhealthcare interoperability solutions that enable the secure and efficient exchange of healthcare data between systems and applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyzerequirements andtranslate them into technical specifications and architectural designs.
- Implement robust and scalable backend solutions using Java and/ ensuring data integrity security and compliance with healthcare standards such as HL7 and FHIR.
- Develop andmaintainfront-end applications using React to provide user-friendly interfaces for healthcare professionals and patients.
- Integrate third-party healthcare systems APIs and data sources into our platform ensuring seamless interoperability.
- Work closely with cloud architects to deploy and manage healthcare solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Implement andmaintainDevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and ensure high availability and performance of healthcare applications.
- Collaborate with data engineers to manage and analyze healthcare data extracting valuable insights to drive healthcare decision-making.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in healthcare interoperability React and GCP.
- Worksclosely with the product and solutions team to understand opportunities andassistwith the integration to the platform as well as develop repeatable mechanisms such that single-use integrations are minimized.
- Partners with the solutions and implementation/support team to design develop and deploy management and support tooling for all aspects of the platforms operations. This may include things like monitoring/surveillance toolsaccessandutilizationlogging.
- Assistsin the development and may oversee the Mayo ClinicShieldEnablementteams compliance with SLAs or OLAs in partnership with the implementation/services team.
- Supports andadvisesthe execution of the Mayo Clinic Platform Technical roadmap.
- Acts as a mentor and coach for other technical team members withinMayoClinic Platform supporting technical growth andsystems basedthinking.
- In collaboration with the Mayo Clinic Platform product team defines and implements proper Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processesin syncwith Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) processes.

Qualifications- Bachelorsdegree in a relevant information technology field or aminimum7 years of direct full-stack engineering with increasing complexity.
- 3-5 years working in diverse environmentsutilizingAgile principles of software development.
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer with a strong emphasis on healthcare interoperability.
- Proficiencyin Java and/ for backend development including API/ servicedesign and implementation.
- ExpertiseinJavascriptwith a focus onReactandreactframeworks ()for building responsive and intuitive front-end applications.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)(or equivalent)services and cloud-native application development.
- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7FHIRand OMOP.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative cross-functional team environment.
- Experience with DevOps practices CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker Kubernetes) is a plus.
