Job Description PRN Physical Therapist Assistant
Job Qualifications
Hold a current and valid license in the state of Alabama or completed an accredited university program with a pending final examination and licensing.
Comply with the APTA Code of Ethics.
Follow guidelines associated with patient confidentiality (HIPPA).
Able to communicate effectively with patients families co-workers and other health care professionals.
Perform the physical tasks required of a manual physical therapist assistant.
Clinical Responsibilities
Be proficient in performing the clinical duties of a licensed physical therapist assistant as outlined by the Alabama State Practice Act and the APTA to include but not limited to patient treatments discharges and clinical supervision of Aides.
Business / Charting Responsibilities
Provide accurate and timely documentation that complies with state laws company quality assurance standards and insurance regulations.
Responsibilities of NTS Team Membership
Knowledge of and adherence to the vision and strategic plan of NTS as well as the policies and procedures as outlined by the Employee Handbook.
Possess traits of a lifelong learner including active participation in the NTS mentoring program co-treatments as the schedule allows and willingness to attend on-site and off-site continuing education courses offered outside of normal business hours.
