Job Description
As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol in Independence MO you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and support staff patients and visitors with strong customer service and clear communication. You will respond to security-related concerns document activity and work as part of a team that is agile reliable and innovative. Allied Universal puts people first and leads with integrity.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors waiting areas entrances parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns reporting issues per site procedure.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with de-escalation supporting staff with disruptive individuals and requesting additional resources when needed.
- Control access at designated points by monitoring authorized entry directing visitors to appropriate check-in areas and verifying credentials and/or visitor requirements per site policy.
- Complete routine documentation such as shift logs and incident reports and communicate observations and incident details to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- The hospital site requires vaccines.
- The hospital site includes a morgue.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- Be 21 years of age.
- Be able to restrain individuals at a hospital site.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
