Location: This position is full-time (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday in a typical office environment. This role is onsite at 51 Clemson Rd. Columbia SC.
Job Profile: The Compensation Consultant develops and administers compensation programs by evaluating job content analyzing market data ensuring internal equity and recommending salary ranges. The role partners with HR and business leaders to provide compensation guidance supports participation in market surveys and ensures compliance with relevant laws and organizational pay structures.
What Youll Do:
Partners with generalists and management to maintain internal equity within the organization by auditing job content documenting job content appropriately market pricing jobs in the marketplace and summarizing and presenting work for review and approval.
Leads or participates in project initiatives that may involve compensation program development program evaluation and change program implementation or design and maintenance of supporting systems and processes.
Maintains processes related to administration of pay. Assists in maintenance of the companys position control process survey participation job documentation repository and other programs designed to streamline the paperwork process related to compensation.
Collaborates with other HR functional areas to ensure that compensation is an integral part of diversity affirmative action payroll employment/selection initiatives and supports the overall HR strategic direction.
Makes presentations or conducts training for large or small groups including presentations to top management on compensation related issues and topics (i.e. manager training compensation study results etc.).
To Qualify For This Position Youll Need The Following:
Required Education: Bachelors
Required Work Experience: 3 years data analysis experience and experience supporting management.
Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent judgment with ability to make objective business decisions. Excellent quantitative/analytical and critical thinking skills. Strong organizational customer service presentation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong math skills. Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion. Demonstrated experience presenting recommendations to management up to and including senior management.
Required Software and Tools: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience creating pivot tables and formulas.
