Job Description
As a Security Officer - Entry Control Desk in Sugar Grove IL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy food and beverage location you will welcome employees vendors and guests verify credentials manage entry points and monitor activity using a computer or tablet. You will conduct routine rounds document observations and respond to incidents with calm customer-focused communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
- Control access by verifying identification processing sign-in and sign-out logs issuing temporary credentials when authorized and directing deliveries to designated receiving areas.
- Monitor entry points gates and/or docks for unauthorized access suspicious activity and policy violations and communicate concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including medical calls alarms and/or operational disruptions and complete detailed written reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to identify hazards unsecured doors and/or equipment issues; working conditions may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
