Job title: Blanking Mechanic (Production Mechanic/ Maintenance Tech is more common name)
Primary Responsibility: Primary ownership of all maintenance requirements for area that includes
Printing Press and related support equipment; Slitter; Blanking and Labeling equipment.
Specific Duties:
1. Learn and understand key functions operating requirements of the various equipment.
2. Installation repair and support of new production equipment.
3. Work in concert with Facilities and Mechatronics teams for installation repair and support of robotics.
4. Breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting of all equipment.
5. Development and execution of a PM program for all equipment.
6. Critical spare parts identification and procurement and control.
7. Tooling maintenance program support and improvement.
8. Training development and execution to elevate the overall skill level among leads floaters and
operators.
9. Repair and adjustment of all equipment machinery or components etc.
10. Clean machines and machine parts using cleaning solvents cloths air guns hoses vacuums or other
equipment.
11. Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.
12. Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations.
13. Operate equipment to demonstrate proper use or to analyze malfunctions.
14. Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test equipment or software and applying
knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems.
15. Study blueprints schematics manuals or other specifications to determine installation procedures.
16. Work with manufacturer or to a specialized repair shop for repair of equipment.
17. Verification that proper cleaning sanitization and all other GMP requirements are being met and
documented
Skill Requirements:
1. Knowledge in 5S Microsoft Office Tools Mathematical Computations Problem Solving Skills
Metric System and FANUC & Mitsubishi Controllers a plus.
2. Working knowledge of all site services including: Compressed air vacuum and chilled water
3. Fault finding and problem solving.
4. Mechanicals Electrical PLC pneumatics.

*Needs to have solid experience will be working mainly by themselves on 3rd shift after training period. There are other mechanics on 3rd just not that dept.
*Must be mechanically inclined
*Must have strong problem solving abilities
*Must know basic math and measurement skills
*This position fixes mechanical tooling electrical issues on the machinery. This dept (blanking) is the cutting phase so they take a large role of paper set it up on the machine to be fed through a die cutter which cut the paper into rectangular sheets (these are called Blanks). On the opposite side is a robotic arm that builds pallets of Blanks.
*Big plus to come from food packaging or any packaging background but not required.
3rd shift: M-F; 11pm-7am.
Pay: pay based on experience up to $35/hr $2/hr shift premium.
