The Experience Youll Create:
Continental Services is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our this role youll be responsible for regularly reconciling bank transactions collaborating with team members and ensuring the accuracy of financial records across our corporate general ledger. Ideally you are detail-oriented motivated to learn and embrace opportunities for growth while supporting daily tasks and special projects.
- Assist with the month-end close process
- Support monthly and year-end financial close including assigned journal entries accruals and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Perform daily bank reconciliations
- Generate ad hoc reports using accounting software as requested
- Contribute to special projects and process improvements initiatives
- Respond to information requests and assist with internal and external audits
- Collaborate with team members inside and outside the department
Ingredients for Thriving:
- Minimum of 1 - 2 years of relevant accounting experience which could include internships or more junior accounting roles.
- Proficiency with accounting software and strong excel skills
- Strong analytical mathematical and organizational skills with a focus on details
- Demonstrates a strong drive and ambition to achieve results.
- Motivated to learn new processes adapt to change and readily accepts coaching and feedback to support both professional development and organizational goals.
Location(s) & Logistics:
- Full time role in our Sterling Heights office potential for a day a week remote after onboarding is successfully completed.
