Role Overview
The Senior Accountant supports financial reporting inventory accounting and operational finance activities within a manufacturing environment.
This role works cross-functionally with operations and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting and support ongoing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support month-end close and financial reporting
- Assist with inventory accounting and cost tracking
- Perform variance analysis related to manufacturing operations
- Support internal and external audits
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Partner with operations to understand production and cost drivers
- Identify and implement process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- 36 years of experience (public industry preferred)
- Manufacturing or inventory accounting experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of GAAP
- ERP system experience
- CPA or CPA track preferred
