Are you interested in an internship that provides a unique perspective to the education field Join National Heritage Academies (NHA) this summeras an ELA and EL Curriculum and Instruction Intern!

This is a paid in-person internship in our Grand Rapids Service Center duration of the internship is mid-May through early are for those enrolled in a college/university program or a recent graduate. For candidates that dont meet this criteria please explore our other open positionshere.

In this role you will work at our Service Center located in Grand Rapids Michigan. This is where all the behind-the-scenes magic happens. In This Role:

  • You will report directly to a member of the ELA/EL Curriculum and Instruction team to provide valuable support with their summer curriculum initiatives.
  • You will be doing impactful work creating resources for our over 4000 teachers preparing curricular resources uploading resources to our curriculum web page and EL compliance tasks.
  • You will work as part of an energetic and passionate team of ELA/EL curriculum and instruction specialists and get a behind the scenes look at curriculum development and EL programming.

Qualifications:

  • On track to complete a degree in education curriculum educational technology library science or another major and you want to try something completely different and exciting!
  • Uses technology to be productive and efficient including Google Workspace Microsoft Office Suite Adobe Pro and other online tools.
  • Exhibits a high level of energy and initiative and possesses a strong desire to learnand achieve results.
  • Communicates well one-on-one in small groups both verbally and in writing.
  • Utilizes appropriate resources to achieve results independently and as part of a team.
  • Maintains a high level of organization time management and attention to detail.
  • Manages multiple tasks and keeps organized.

What We Offer You:

  • 40 hours/week
  • Onsite Monday through Friday 8am-5pm
  • $15.50/hour
  • Scheduled events and meetings with company leaders!
