Were looking for a friendly compassionate Volunteer Hairdresser/Barber to support our service and help us make people feel their best. This is a wonderful opportunity to use your professional skills to brighten someones day boost confidence and create moments of real connection.
Availability: Flexible to suit your schedule
Location: Marie Curie Hospice Marie Curie Drive Newcastle Upon Tyne NE4 6SS
Criteria: Minimum 18 years of age. Qualification or Recognised Certification in Hairdressing.
A Criminal Record Check is required for this opportunity - Marie Curie will cover the cost of this.
What youll do:
- Providing Hairdressing/Barbering services such as trims blow-dries and styling
- Offering a warm person-centred experience for the individuals you support
- Creating a relaxed comfortable environment for those receiving the service
- Working alongside staff and other volunteers as part of our supportive team
