Job Title: Sous Chef
Location: Aviemore Highlands. salary 39k per annum

Salary: Competitive based on experience
Contract: Full-time Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations ensuring the highest standards of food quality presentation and hygiene.
  • Supervise mentor and support kitchen staff to maintain consistency and excellence.
  • Help with the planning and preparation of menus keeping seasonal ingredients and local produce in mind.
  • Ensure smooth running of the kitchen during shifts overseeing food preparation and assisting in cooking where needed.
  • Maintain inventory control stock rotation and ordering of supplies.
  • Support the management of health and safety food safety and cleanliness standards.

What Were Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role preferably within a hotel or high-end restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations food safety and quality control.
  • A creative passionate approach to cooking and menu development.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and train others.
  • Good communication skills and a strong ability to work under pressure.
  • A flexible positive attitude and willingness to work weekends evenings and bank holidays.
