Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rover Security Clearance in Arlington VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a fast-paced tech location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control respond to reports and document activity with clear communication while delivering standout customer service. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees contractors and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders security-related procedures and site-specific policies including emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner escalating to site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office areas lobbies parking lots loading areas and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access control points by checking identification confirming authorization issuing temporary credentials as directed and documenting entries and exits according to site requirements.
- Complete detailed shift reports incident documentation and patrol activity logs using required electronic systems and/or written forms and communicate timely updates during shift turnovers.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have an active DoD Top Secret clearance.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
