Job Summary
An established industrial supply company based in Jet Park is looking for a Junior Buyer to join their team. This role is suited to someone early in their procurement career who understands the fast-moving nature of the engineering gas or industrial supply environment and is ready to take ownership of purchasing processes while working closely with suppliers and internal teams.

Role Overview
The Junior Buyer will support procurement operations by sourcing and purchasing stock items managing supplier relationships and ensuring inventory levels are maintained to meet operational and customer demands. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work closely with internal sales and warehouse teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure engineering and industrial supply products from approved suppliers
- Monitor stock levels and place purchase orders accordingly
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information
- Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing delivery schedules and order confirmations
- Follow up on outstanding orders and resolve supply delays
- Assist with supplier negotiations and pricing comparisons
- Work closely with internal sales and warehouse teams to ensure stock availability
- Assist with identifying new suppliers and product alternatives when required
- Matric (Grade 12)
- 1 to 3 years experience in a buying or procurement role
- Experience within engineering supplies gas supplies or industrial products would be advantageous
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Computer literate with good working knowledge of Excel and procurement systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong communication skills when dealing with suppliers and internal teams
- Exposure to the engineering and industrial supply sector
- Opportunity to develop procurement and supplier management experience
- Work within a practical operational environment where purchasing plays a critical role in business operations
