The successful candidate will teach Biology across Key Stages 3 and 4 delivering lessons that develop pupils understanding of biological concepts practical skills and scientific thinking.
Key responsibilities include:
Teaching Biology across Key Stages 3 and 4
Planning and delivering engaging lessons incorporating practical experiments
Monitoring pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
Preparing pupils for examinations and assessments
Contributing to curriculum development within the Science department
Supporting departmental initiatives extracurricular activities or science clubs
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in Biology
Be confident delivering practical and theory lessons
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be enthusiastic about inspiring pupils to develop a love of science
Work effectively as part of a collaborative department
