The role:

The position is focused on telling our brand story to internal and external audiences in India and APAC and will add additional support for our communications activities across the region as required. It will report into the Senior Director of Communications for India and APAC.

The Sr. Communications Manager partners closely withthe Regional President and regional Comms leaderas well as our wider Communications functionto shape and deliver strategic enterprisealigned communications that build awareness deepen understanding and inspire action across all internal and external stakeholders.

This is an individual contributor role focused on hands-on execution and strategic impact for India and APAC with a particular focus on telling our energy and automation technology stories to key audiences.

The successful candidate will be experienced at operating both as counsel to senior executives and tactically across the full spectrum of communications activities. Outstandingwritten and verbal communications skills in English is critical along with a proven ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment with rapidly shifting priorities and some level of ambiguity.

Deep experience in message development and localization isa mustas thisposition will help guide efforts to consistently develop creative compelling and human-focused content that connects Honeywell employees with each other leaders and the companys strategic initiatives.

This person will have a deep understanding of the politicaleconomicand technological shifts taking place in India and across APAC andbe skilled in mappingindustry stories to these trends to provide local market relevance.

The team:

Honeywells Regional Communications teamslead internal and external communications fortheirrespectiveregions.

As part of an integrated communications function this team develops a cohesive internal communications narrative that connects internal and external messagingleveragingcompany channels employee engagement events town halls multimedia storytelling and integrated changecommunications plans to inform and unite functional teams around a One Honeywell One Region growth culture.

In parallel they collaborate with the MediaCenter of Expertise (COE)to extend these narratives through external communications developing aligned messaging for functional leaders driving meaningful industry and business media coverage around products and initiatives and leading coordinated local regional and national efforts that protect and elevate Honeywells reputation and brand across all relevant audiences.

This teamservesas a trusted advisor for senior executives in mission-critical moments assessing and securing the right opportunities for them to amplify our growth senior position will fit someone who is a purpose-driven storytellerwith strong judgment and a calm demeanor to manage multiple concurrent high-profile executive positioning willwork closely with senior leaders to achieve differentiated positioning across all external channels fromexecutivesocialtointernalto owned to earned.



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner to Identifydevelopand implement a holisticinternal and external communicationsstrategy and communications plan for Honeywell in India and APAC aligned to businessobjectivesand priorities as it evolves to become one of the worlds leading pure play automation companies.
  • Developregionalmedia programs that are strongly linked to business strategy regional industrytrendsand performance requirements.
  • Partner to develop and execute Executive Positioning strategiesfor theRegional President and country executivesto drive top-tier media coverage employeeengagementand visibility to further the companys reputation.
  • Establish andmaintainstrong relationships with key reporters/media and manage media inquiries and interview requests.
  • Partner on message development and provide media training and coaching asappropriate forkey executive spokespeople.
  • Partner to develop and deploy new innovative tactics in support of deliveringcompelling messagingto employees across the business.
  • Support major initiatives organization transitions leadership changes and other transformation steps through innovative and effective communication plans that address the needs of varied audiences and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate andfacilitatebudget and vendor relationships eventmanagementand project teams asappropriate.
  • Work withappropriate businesses functions and government relations on crisis andissuesmanagement.
  • Oversee and develop content for press releases bylined articles key messages media statements Q&A documents and briefings.
  • Advocate for the Honeywell brand and live as a brand ambassador.
  • Champion AI within the Communications space.
  • Ability to travel 10 - 15% of the time.

Success Factors:

  • Proventrack recordof results change communications and positioning executive leaders to drive differentiated company coverage.
  • Develop relationships with reporters/media pitch news stories/ideas manage journalist inquiries andserveas a media spokesperson.
  • Strong (AP style) writing skills withthe abilityto develop clear concise messages that align closely with corporate messaging.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to present effectively to senior management.
  • The ability to think strategically provide communications counsel andlead in developing plans to drive results.
  • Ability toidentifyissues proactively and execute actions to eliminate or minimize their potential impact.
  • Self-starter with ability to thrive in a matrix organizational structure where priorities can shift quickly.
  • Excellent project management and the ability to simultaneously prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Intimate understanding of social media especially LinkedIn and an advanced understanding of how best toleveragechannels such as Viva Engage to promote employee engagement.
  • Ability to provide communications guidance and work effectively across businesses and corporate functions.
  • Strong business acumen and partneringconsultingand influencing skills with the ability to build and navigate relationships at all levels of the organization particularly at the executive level.
  • Advanced understanding of business processes and vernacular.
  • Advanced understanding of the complex legislative regulatory and political environment related totheir region.

Prior experience working in a large complex international company with diverse products portfolio desired

  • Bachelors degree preferably in Communications.
  • 12-14 years of experience in a Communications role.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and matrix environment.
