Key Responsibilities:
- Patching & Maintenance:
Plan and execute scheduled patching activities for network devices during approved maintenance windows.
Apply firmware operating system and security patches to routers switches firewalls load balancers and wireless controllers.
Ensure proper sequencing and version control of applied updates to prevent configuration drift. - Pre- & Post-Patch Validation:
Perform pre-patch assessments and backup configurations to ensure rollback readiness.
Conduct post-patch health checks to verify system stability connectivity and service continuity.
Document patch outcomes deviations and lessons learned for continuous improvement. - Coordination & Change Management:
Collaborate with IT Operations Security and Application teams to minimize downtime and user impact.
Adhere to established Change Advisory Board (CAB) and ITIL-based change management procedures.
Ensure all patch activities are properly logged tracked and closed in the change management system. - Troubleshooting & Rollback:
Analyze and resolve patch-related issues in a timely manner.
Initiate rollback or remediation plans when patches cause instability or service degradation.
Provide detailed incident and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) reports as required. If required Coordinate with service provid
