Scope of Project
The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) is seeking a Senior Tester to support quality assurance activities for the NIMRS (NYS Incident Management Reporting System) and other OMH projects. The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring that applications meet functional requirements regulatory standards and quality benchmarks. The role involves designing and automating test cases identifying and tracking defects validating system requirements and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The candidate may also assist in developing user help documentation and must effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical staff.

Responsibilities:

Design develop and execute the full QA lifecycle including documentation of test plans test cases and test scripts for multiple web applications.
Perform application testing on both desktop and mobile devices.
Conduct manual and automated testing including functional integration regression system performance and ADA compliance testing.
Utilize testing tools including Selenium WebDriver LoadRunner Silk Performer WAVE NVDA and other QA automation frameworks.
Develop and maintain automated regression test suites using Selenium WebDriver Core frameworks.
Work closely with project teams to validate business and technical requirements.
Assist with defect triage and maintain defect logs using tools such as TFS (Team Foundation Server) or HP Quality Center.
Analyze business requirements and assist in developing user acceptance test scenarios and documentation.
Support integration testing to ensure different software modules function as a complete system solution.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure applications meet regulatory and accessibility requirements.

Required/Preferred Skills

Mandatory Qualification:

Senior Tester (60 84 months experience) Ability to work independently guide team members and contribute to quality assurance strategy and execution.

Requested Qualifications:

72 months experience creating maintaining and executing automation and regression testing using UFT or Selenium WebDriver Core or Java.
72 months experience performing ADA compliance testing using tools such as JAWS WAVE or NVDA.
72 months experience using performance testing tools such as LoadRunner.
72 months experience with quality assurance testing usability testing and analysis using ALM QC for managing test cases and defect tracking.
72 months experience coordinating and tracking QA activities with business analysts and subject matter experts.
72 months experience creating and maintaining functional and UAT test documentation.
60 months experience working with applications that manage Protected Health Information (PHI).
60 months experience using Team Foundation Server (TFS) and SharePoint.
60 months experience working in Agile development environments.
