Property Manager for Long Pond Village Apartments About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Property Manager to lead operations at a well-established multi-family apartment community in the Rotterdam/Schenectady area. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys managing property operations leading teams and delivering exceptional service to residents.
As the Property Manager you will oversee the daily management of the property supervise the on-site team and ensure the community remains a welcoming safe and well-maintained place to live. You will be responsible for maintaining strong occupancy levels managing budgets ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting resident satisfaction.
This is an in-office position with a schedule of Monday to Friday 8:30 AM 5:00 PM with alternating Saturdays.
Key Responsibilities:
The Property Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the community including team leadership leasing performance financial reporting and resident satisfaction.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading and coaching the on-site team while fostering accountability and collaboration.
- Utilizing strong sales and customer service skills when assisting prospects residents and colleagues.
- Demonstrating professionalism and leadership in all interactions.
- Responding constructively to feedback and proactively sharing ideas and improvements.
- Working independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Directing leasing activities and resident retention initiatives.
- Addressing and resolving resident or employee concerns effectively.
- Maintaining property occupancy at or above 97%.
- Conducting regular property inspections to ensure standards are maintained.
- Completing required reports accurately and on time.
- Staying informed about property management regulations and compliance requirements.
- Communicating clearly and professionally with residents staff and supervisors.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of experience as a Property Manager at a multi-family apartment community with 50 units or more preferred.
- Valid New York State real estate salesperson license preferred. If licensed the candidate must be willing to transfer the license to the organization.
- Strong customer service sales and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using Entrata or similar property management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid and clean drivers license with reliable transportation.
- Knowledge of fair housing regulations.
- Basic understanding of office operations and administrative processes.
- Familiarity with standard word processing database and spreadsheet software with the ability to learn specialized property management systems.
- Ability to maintain detailed records and generate accurate reports.
- Demonstrated integrity professionalism and ethical conduct.
- Candidates cannot currently reside in a managed apartment community operated by the organization.
