Job Title: Materials Handler III
Location (On-site Remote or Hybrid): Portsmouth VA (onsite)
Contract Duration: Contract until 01/31/2027
Working hours: Mon - Fri 10 AM - 6:30 PM
Total hours: 40
Summary
Perform a wide variety of activities to support the Quality Management System:
- Perform routine quality control audits to ensure procedural compliance
- Perform daily verification of picking activities
- Report daily service issues to teams in morning Tier meetings
- Actively analyze and report service issues trends
- Provide real-time feedback and error correction to prevent issues before they escalate
- Remove damaged product from pickable locations
- Conduct spot-check inspections/audits of production operations
- Participate in the internal audit program
- May assist in supporting the Document Control program record retention areas and sample retention areas

- Ability to follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
Education and/or Experience
- High School Degree
- 2 warehouse operations experience
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before small groups of employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of MS Excel MS Word and MS Outlook. Experience with SAGE or Great Plains ERP preferred.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Ability to follow procedures and accurately document results
- Understanding distribution processes of Company products and ability to recognize deviations from approved documented procedures
- Attention to detail
