Whats the role
Youll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of trading financials across Westpac Institutional Bank. Working closely with the front office youll prepare and analyse daily and monthly P&L provide clear and timely commentary and support a strong control environment across trading activities.
Youll also contribute to continuous improvement-streamlining processes strengthening controls and supporting initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of the Product Control function.
This is a 12 month opportunity based in Sydney NSW with flexible and hybrid working arrangements aligned to trading-day reporting requirements.
What do I need
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics coupled with relevant experience in Product Control Financial Analysis or a similar role within banking or financial services
- Strong analytical capability with the confidence to explain P&L movements and financial outcomes clearly to stakeholders
- Working knowledge of traded products such as Rates FX Credit or Commodities and how market movements flow through financial results
- Proficiency in Excel and financial systems with an interest in improving and automating processes
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA CFA or equivalent are preferred.
