The program
Australia Awards Indonesia (AAI) is managed by Tetra Tech on behalf of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). Australia Awards is an integral part of Australias development cooperation program with Indonesia and has enjoyed strong support from both governments for more than sixty years. Australia Awards addresses two key challenges: to fill a gap in the pool of individuals with the higher-level capacity to contribute to Indonesias development; and the need for a strong deep relationship based on mutual understanding between Australia and Indonesia.
The role
The Scholar Enrichment Officer supports Australia Awards Indonesia in delivering alumni engagement and scholar enrichment initiatives including the Indonesian Language Learning Ambassador alumni (ILLA) program Pre-Departure Training (PDT) and Professional Development and Networking Plans (PDNP). Key responsibilities include coordinating program delivery promoting inclusive participation and managing logistics for events and professional development activities. Working closely with the Linkages and Enrichment and Communications teams the Officer maintains rigorous monitoring and reporting records to highlight alumni achievements and public diplomacy outcomes. The role ensures that all enrichment activities are efficient compliant and accessible ultimately driving sustained alumni engagement and long-term impact.
Key responsibilities
Provide end-to-end administrative and logistical support for the ILLA Program including coordinating with host institutions and stakeholders across Indonesia and Australia.
Assist in delivering guest lectures Pre-Departure Training (PDT) and Professional Development and Networking Plans (PDNP) to enhance the academic and professional growth of scholars.
Lead the logistical planning for on-award initiatives including vendor management materials preparation and participant communications for networking events and Scholar-to-Scholar sessions.
Act as the primary point of contact for scholars alumni and university partners to ensure seamless engagement and program participation.
Support outreach efforts by creating content for newsletters and social media in collaboration with the Communications team to highlight program success.
Maintain accurate scholar databases and contribute to the preparation of formal reports case studies and success stories that showcase program impact.
Ensure all activities and documentation align with AAI policies and DFATs financial and program management standards.
Selection criteria
Tertiary qualification in development education public administration communications or equivalent experience
Experience providing program administration and logistical support
Experience coordinating events workshops or professional development activities with multiple stakeholders
Knowledge of finance compliance reporting and inclusive outreach (GEDSI awareness)
Strong organisational skills recordkeeping and basic monitoring/reporting capability
Clear Bahasa Indonesia and English communication; collaborative reliable and serviceoriented
