Position Summary
A healthcare facility in Ithaca NY is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technician to perform diagnostic imaging procedures and support the radiology team. The technologist will operate radiographic equipment ensure patient safety and produce high-quality images to assist physicians in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures as ordered by physicians
Accurately position patients and apply proper radiation safety protocols
Operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in imaging and patient record systems
Collaborate with radiologists nurses and healthcare staff to ensure effective patient care
Ensure cleanliness safety and readiness of radiology equipment and exam rooms
Follow all radiation safety and infection control standards
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist License
ARRT (R) Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Strong knowledge of imaging anatomy positioning techniques and radiation safety
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
