Job Summary
Merchandiser-Ethnic Wear-Surat-70k
Job Overview:
The Merchandiser will act as a key link between design production and sales teams to ensure product assortments are well-planned costed and delivered on time. You will monitor fashion trends manage purchase orders coordinate with suppliers and ensure that the product mix aligns with market demand and brand standards.
Product & Market Planning

Analyze market trends customer preferences and sales data to plan product assortments.

Assist in collection planning for seasonal launches and key festivals.

Coordinate with design and marketing teams on upcoming product ranges.
Sourcing & Supplier Management

Identify and evaluate fabric trims and accessory suppliers.

Negotiate pricing terms and delivery schedules.

Maintain supplier relationships and ensure competitive sourcing.
Production Coordination

Prepare and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) costing sheets and production schedules.

Liaise with factories and quality teams to monitor sampling production progress and timelines.

Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
Order & Inventory Management

Track order status and follow up at every production stage.

Communicate with warehouses/operations for inventory planning and stock availability.
Buyer & Internal Communication

Act as a point of contact for buyers (if applicable) or internal sales teams for product approvals and updates.

Maintain clear communication across design production and sales teams.
Cost & Profitability

Collaborate on pricing strategies and margin optimization.

Monitor product performance and suggest improvement based on feedback.

Prepare reports on sales costs margins and performance metrics.
