An international industrial pumps company based in Johannesburg North supplying technically advanced products for a variety of industries and applications is seeking the above.

Duties & Responsibilities

Minimum requirements for the role:

A Mechanical Trade/Fitter is essential.
At least 5 years experience in the fluid mechanics / pumps industry or related.
Understand mechanical drawings.
Have good technical skills.
Computer literacy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Be a team player and be deadline driven.
Must have a valid drivers licence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Carry out service and emergency work on pumping and associated equipment at customers premises.
Prepare service reports.
Clean strip overhaul customer pumps and products and provide quotations to customers for cost of repairs.
Process conversions for pumps consistent with orders and technical work manuals.
Inspect and test products prior to dispatch to customers.
Provide timely and accurate advice and support to staff and customers on service workshop and product related issues both orally and in writing where required.
Participate in branch meetings and provide input on workshop activities.
