Toll Group is seeking an experienced National Quality Manager to lead quality governance across our Government & Defence portfolio with an immediate focus on Defence contracts and associated operations.

This role is accountable for ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 customer contractual obligations and Tolls Integrated Management System (IMS). You will provide strategic and operational leadership across document control audit management quality data deliverables and continuous improvement initiatives in complex highassurance environments.

Working closely with Defence and Government stakeholders Toll leadership subject matter experts and subcontractors you will play a critical role in maintaining contractual integrity audit readiness and quality consistency across nationally distributed operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Govern and maintain controlled documentation in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 Defence standards and contractual requirements
  • Manage internal and external document repositories ensuring robust version control approval workflows and record integrity
  • Implement maintain and monitor Quality Plans and Support Services Management Plans across Government and Defence contracts
  • Oversee qualityrelated data submissions and evidence packs provided to Defence and Government customers
  • Plan and conduct internal and external audits including certification customer and subcontractor audits
  • Manage nonconformances corrective and preventive actions and verification of effectiveness
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the Government & Defence portfolio
  • Act as the primary quality liaison with Defence Government stakeholders and senior Toll leadership
  • Support contract mobilisation transitions and assurance activities as required

About You:

You are a confident quality leader with experience operating in regulated contractdriven environments able to balance compliance assurance and operational practicality.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience implementing and maintaining a Quality Management System across multiple operational disciplines
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 with particular strength in document and records control
  • Proven experience supporting Defence Government or similarly complex contractual environments
  • Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001)
  • Tertiary qualification in Quality Management or a related discipline (desirable)
  • Advanced Microsoft Word capability including controlled document formatting
  • Strong stakeholder engagement coordination and influencing skills
  • Ability to work across geographically dispersed teams and subcontractors

Highly Desirable Experience

  • Defence or Government contract delivery environments
  • Logistics transport or supply chain operations
  • Food Quality and Safety experience
  • Experience operating within integrated management systems (Quality Safety Environment Security)
