IT Support Engineer Desktop & Manufacturing Systems

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to join their team at Head Office in East Tāmaki Auckland. This is a full-time on-site role supporting both corporate and manufacturing-related systems with a strong focus on desktop support user management and maintaining hardware and software environments.

The role offers a balance of day-to-day support tasks and opportunities to contribute to broader systems improvement. It suits someone who enjoys variety takes ownership of their work and communicates confidently with a wide range of stakeholders from frontline staff to senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second-level support across desktop cloud and mobile environments
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Windows OS Microsoft 365 and Azure
  • Build and maintain PCs used in manufacturing systems
  • Manage user onboarding/offboarding and access permissions
  • Liaise with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical issues
  • Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in desktop engineering and Windows OS troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with Azure Active Directory and cloud-based environments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical users
  • Comfortable working independently and managing competing priorities
  • Practical solutions-focused approach with a willingness to improve systems and processes
  • A team player who values collaboration and clear communication
