Vice President Water/Wastewater Operations
DISHER is partnering with a company on their search for a Vice President of Water/Wastewater Operations. The VP will be the senior leader for multi-site water and wastewater operations responsible for overall performance financial health and strategic growth across a portfolio of municipal and private facilities in Michigan and Indiana. This is a key succession and growth role that will shape the next chapter of the organization.

What you will get to do:
Lead and develop regional managers project managers and plant managers responsible for operating multiple water and wastewater facilities.
Set clear goals standards and priorities for safe compliant and efficient operations across the portfolio.
Provide executive oversight for multisite operations guiding troubleshooting optimization and adoption of best practices.
Own P&L for the operations group including budgeting revenue growth cost control and margin improvement.
Drive financial accountability down to regional and project managers ensuring they understand how to run their part of the business.
Build and nurture relationships with key municipal and private clients serving as an executivelevel point of contact.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and expansions including renewals addon services and new sites.
Lead or support negotiations for major contracts renewals and pricing adjustments.
Partner closely with internal engineering and construction teams.
Represent the company in industry settings and forums reinforcing a strong reputation in the water/wastewater community.
- Foster a culture of professional growth technical excellence and leadership development.
What will make you successful:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in water or wastewater operations including multisite leadership and responsibility for a broad team.
At least 5 years in seniorlevel management with P&L accountability and comfort making business decisions.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Environmental Science Business Administration or a related field preferred; equivalent experience in water/wastewater operations is also acceptable.
Handson understanding of how treatment plants actually run paired with the ability to step back and lead strategically.
Advanced water/wastewater operations certifications or equivalent experience in Michigan Indiana or comparable regulatory environments.
Strong clientfacing skills with the ability to build trust navigate sensitive issues and maintain longterm relationships.
A collaborative coaching leadership style that emphasizes communication development and shared problemsolving.
Ability to travel regularly within Michigan and Indiana to visit sites meet with clients and connect with internal teams.
