Join Our Team as a Guidance Counselor at Assumption High School
Are you passionate about supporting students growth and helping them develop their God-given gifts and talents Scott County Catholic Schools (SCCS) is seeking a caring enthusiastic and faith-centered Guidance Counselor to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and small group counseling to students supporting their academic social-emotional and spiritual growth.
- Collaborate with parents teachers and community resources to address student needs and encourage optimal student development.
- Assist with student grade/course work transitions and participate in case conferences IEPs and 504 plans as needed.
- Promote a positive school climate through various programs.
- Support overall school operations and collaborate with counselors across SCCS.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain open communication with students parents and staff.
Qualifications
- Valid School Counselor or Social Worker license from the BOEE or relevant teaching license/substitute authorization recognized by the BOEE.
- Knowledge of adolescent psychology therapy/treatment options for student mental health and the impact of environment on student well-being.
- Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to the values and teachings of the Catholic faith.
- Experience working with youth in educational or counseling settings preferred.
