Mō te tūranga About the role
Were looking for a practical reliable and proactive Property Assistant to join our team at Ashwood Park. Youll be helping maintain our buildings and equipment to a high standard supporting the wellbeing of our residents.
This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety. Youll be working closely with our Property Manager contractors and the wider village team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out scheduled routine checks and general maintenance
- Responding to planned and unplanned maintenance issues
- Supervising and assisting contractors onsite
- Keeping maintenance logs and records up to date
- Interacting respectfully with residents and supporting their needs
- Following health and safety procedures and reporting hazards
Qualifications :
To tatou kaitono pai What you bring
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Full NZ drivers licence
- Solid DIY or trade skills ideally with building or facility maintenance experience
- Good communication time management and problem solving ability
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Respect and empathy for older people
- Integrity and reliability
- Ability to work unsupervised and take ownership of jobs from start to finish
We are looking for a team member who enjoys:
- Interacting with older New Zealanders
- Performing to a high standard with diligence and care
- Working within a team where we respect our residents and each other
This is a part-time role working 20 hours a week across Monday - Friday.
