Job Title: Math Interventionist- Long Term Substitute
Location: Enfield Public Schools Enfield CT
Position Type: Full-Time School Year
Assignment Duration:May 1 (TBD) for the remainder of the 2025-26 school year.
Position Overview:
Enfield Public Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Interventionist to support students in achieving mathematical proficiency. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with classroom teachers curriculum directors and administrators to provide targeted data-driven instruction to students who require additional support in mathematics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver small-group and one-on-one math interventions aligned with district curriculum and state standards.
- Use formative and summative assessment data to identify student needs and monitor progress.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to co-plan and co-teach lessons that support differentiated instruction.
- Participate in data team meetings and contribute to the development of intervention plans.
- Provide professional development and coaching to staff on effective math instructional strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families and staff.
Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut teaching certification in Mathematics (029) or eligibility for LTS/DSAP.
- Experience in math intervention or special education preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of research-based math intervention strategies and programs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and adjust instruction accordingly.
