Math Instructor Treasure Island

• Provide professional-level instruction in GED and CASAS reading and math preparation as well as high school diploma coursework.
• Facilitate 1:1 and small group sessions to meet individual learning needs.
• Monitor and support student progress including math gains and CASAS/GED achievements.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and complete weekly reports as required.
• Develop and maintain lesson plans aligned with course objectives and competency-based instruction.
• Utilize computer-assisted instruction and cooperative learning techniques effectively.
• Deliver necessary accommodations to students in compliance with program requirements.
• Evaluate and document student progress including case notes in CIS where appropriate.
• Actively participate in departmental and all-staff meetings.
• Complete required staff training in a timely manner.
• Model mentor and monitor appropriate workplace behavior.
• Ensure a clean and safe learning environment.
• Provide excellent customer service to students and assist with retention efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Undergraduate degree in education or related field or proven experience as an instructor

Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in youth development

Demonstrated understanding of the principles of effective youth-adult partnerships

Demonstrated creativity and innovation in training design and approach

Ability to present complex information to a team with varied skill sets

Ability to lead and facilitate collaborative relationships with diverse groups Excellent writing speaking and analytical skills

Strong self-motivation: ability to meet tight deadlines and balance multiple priorities

Experience in curriculum development implementation and instruction

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Google Business Suite preferred
