The Supply Chain Manager is responsible and accountable for all supply chain activities for Bosch Home Comfort in North America. This includes managing the successful execution of all distribution and reverse logistics activities (Bosch and 3PL) and oversight of inventory planning and purchase processes of direct material for the company. In addition the Supply Chain Manager serves as Export Compliance Officer (ECO) supporting all required activities for Bosch Home Comfort.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee all distribution warehouse operations and returns processing to ensure efficient and accurate supply chain execution.
- Lead inventory planning and procurement activities for direct materials to support production requirements and customer demand.
- Manage supply chain initiatives and large-scale logistics projects to improve operational performance and scalability.
- Oversee outbound transportation including carrier compliance cost management and performance analysis while supporting transportation tender processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers (internal and external) to ensure product availability (SL1) and achieve on-hand inventory (GEZ) targets.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes enhance customer experience reduce costs and optimize inventory levels.
- Develop implement and monitor import/export programs to ensure regulatory compliance operational efficiency and timely shipment delivery.
- Lead coach and develop team members through performance management and development planning to maximize individual and team effectiveness.
- Develop and manage the departmental budget identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure systems processes and workflows effectively support evolving business and operational requirements.
- Participate in ocean and air freight negotiations in coordination with RBNA to support cost-effective global transportation strategies.
- Leverage Bosch tools and operational methodologies to drive process improvements and organizational change.
- Support additional initiatives projects and operational responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Business Operations Management Supply Chain or a related field; or 10 years of relevant professional experience in supply chain and logistics operations.
- 5 years of leadership experience managing teams resources and operational performance.
- Experience with SAP/APO required; additional SAP system experience preferred.
- Proven experience in demand planning across a global supplier network.
- Strong knowledge of international and domestic logistics operations including transportation distribution and inventory management.
- Working knowledge of global trade compliance including import/export regulations and documentation requirements.
- Import/export operations experience preferred.
- Experience with continuous improvement and Lean methodologies such as Six Sigma TPS CIP and 5S preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with strong initiative sound judgment and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical project management and process improvement capabilities with the ability to drive operational efficiencies.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization.
- Results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering business outcomes.
- Ability to manage daily computer and phone-based work effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically as required. (30-40%)
