What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to students faculty staff and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings residence areas parking areas and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including assisting with access issues medical response coordination and/or crowd direction as directed by site policy.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual behavior reporting concerns promptly and accurately according to post orders.
• Complete reports logs and incident documentation and communicate with site contacts and/or local responders using radios phones and other approved communication methods.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.

• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
