Job Summary
Position OverviewMCCPS is seeking a Visual Arts Teacher to inspire students in grades 48. The Arts Teacher will design engaging visual arts instruction and collaborate with colleagues to support integrated learning experiences across the MCCPSMarblehead Community Charter Public School (MCCPS) is a small vibrant academically rigorous and community-focused public charter school serving students in grades 48. Our mission is to develop motivated compassionate and engaged learners through integrated interdisciplinary learning personalized instruction and meaningful hands-on experiences that connect academic content to the world beyond the classroom. We take a whole-child approach supporting students social emotional and academic growth and we place a strong emphasis on the integrated arts to foster creativity expression and critical thinking. At MCCPS teachers collaborate closely to design engaging learning experiences that challenge students intellectually while nurturing curiosity resilience and personal growth. A bachelors degree is required; appropriate certification experience and a masters degree are preferred. Responsibilities* Plan and teach engaging visual arts lessons and projects aligned with curriculum frameworks.* Design meaningful assessments that allow students to demonstrate creativity and learning.* Collaborate with colleagues to support integrated and interdisciplinary learning.* Monitor and communicate student progress regularly using PowerSchool.* Support the needs of diverse learners including students with IEPs and 504 Plans.* Maintain strong communication with families and contribute positively to the school * Bachelors degree in Visual Arts Art Education or related field required* Massachusetts teaching license required* Masters degree preferredMarblehead Community Charter Public School is an equal opportunity employer.
