Position: COBOL Developer
Location: Atlanta GA (30303)
Client: State of Georgia
Duration: 12 Months

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced COBOL Developer to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in COBOL programming and mainframe technologies and will be responsible for translating business requirements into effective software solutions. This is an onsite position that requires hands-on experience in COBOL and related technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and enhance custom software solutions based on business requirements.
Maintain and modify existing COBOL applications ensuring optimal performance.
Conduct thorough code reviews and testing to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
Create and prepare comprehensive documentation for users and program-level processes.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth deployment of changes.

Required Technical Skills:

5 years of COBOL development on Mainframe and JCL.
Strong experience with DB2 Control-M and CICS.
Proficiency in Java AWS and Postgres DB is a plus.
Excellent debugging skills and commitment to improving software efficiency.
Experience with Kofax is advantageous.
